A single stitch motif adorns the back of this tree-inspired mitt.  The twisted stitch cables at the cuff twist and turn underground like roots, the simple rope cable stands sturdy and strong like the trunk, and the open knit cables near the hand reach upwards to the sky like the branches of a tree.

• 1 skein of Semibold Sport from Graphic Dyeworks (100% Superwash Merino; 328 yds / 100 grams)
  • “Rooted” colorway, developed exclusively for Seed Club

• size US 3 / 3.25 mm (or size needed to obtain gauge), for small circumference knitting
• cable needle
• stitch markers
• stitch holders or scrap yarn (for holding thumb sts)
• tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)

Gauge

28 stitches and 42 rounds = 4" in stockinette stitch, in the round.

One size: to fit 7.5” hand (measured just above thumb; around palm)
