News From The Yarn Garden!

Head Gardener's Log, September 22nd

We hope this email finds you well and filled with creativity! As the leaves start to change and the temperatures drop, it's the perfect time to cozy up with your yarn projects. We have some exciting updates and events to share with you from Yarn Garden!

Announcing our next KAL!
This unique and customizable sweater adventure empowers you to become the designer, allowing you to craft your own color designs with ease. Whether you're an experienced knitter looking to showcase your skills or a beginner excited to experiment with colors, this sweater is your ideal canvas!

We're doing things a little differently for this KAL, offering a color theory and design workshop as a "kick off" to the KAL on Saturday, October 7th. If you choose to join us for the workshop, you'll leave with a color/design plan and your yarn, ready to start your sweater with the KAL group at our first gathering. Taking part in the workshop is NOT required to join the KAL, but we will not be covering color theory or design during the KAL. You can find more details about the workshop by clicking on the link below.

New at YG!

Noro:
Our favorite magazine of the year arrived this week! The fall issue of Noro Knitting & Crochet Magazine, Issue 23, can be found right on the home page of our website. Better yet, stop in to the shop to pick it up and check out the new yarn (a bulky alpaca blend from Noro, called Rikka!) that arrived with it!

New from Italian-made Laines du Nord:
Poema Alpaca - a long gradient color change + alpaca & wool make up a glorious confection. Choose a project that will let the yarn do all the talking!

Paint Gradient Sock - keeping with the theme of gradient yarns, here is a faded gradient yarn, all ready to knit into socks! You don't have to try to create your own fade with multiple balls of yarn or stripe multiple colors to create a beautiful gradient. This yarn does it for you! AND, it's easy to make your pair match, if that floats your boat.

On today's episode of Feature Friday (my live video that I do every Friday at 11:00a, over on Facebook... follow us there!), I shared my newest knit design, free for next week's shop hoppers. I dyed three different kits for the design and talked about my color inspiration and process during the video. You can watch the replay here!

Remember, YG is not just a store; it's a community of crafters who share a passion for beautiful yarn and creative projects. I can't wait to see you at our upcoming events and in the shop!

Thank you for being a part of our yarn-loving family. Stay warm, stay inspired, and keep crafting!

Your Head Gardener,
Lindsay Potter
