Head Gardener's Log: December 16th, 2021

Greetings, fiber friends! I hope this email finds you well and making good progress on your holiday knitting (if you subject yourself to such things!). I hope you'll spend a few minutes catching up with me and what's happening at YG!
YG has the pleasure of hosting this trunk show from Manos del Uruguay, featuring 4 garments knit using Alpaca Heather. Have you ever tried out this yarn? It is a FABULOUS sweater yarn, with just enough subtle color variation to lend some interest to the fabric. If you'd like more details, I did a live unboxing video on Facebook Live, and you can watch it here (even without a FB account!).

Our Christmas tree is full of great gift ideas for you or your favorite maker! The holiday collection from Katrinkles includes some fabulous earrings, the December Stitch Markers of the Month (a series of wreaths plus a bright red bow) and other assorted mini tools and markers.

Speaking of great gift ideas... these ALMOST sold out after I featured these felted pouches and accessories from Frabjous Fibers on a Feature Friday video! There are still lots of colors of the blossom pouch and pin available, and a few of the adorable fox pouches as well!

You should absolutely add this Maker's Board to your list for Santa! I started carrying notions and accessories from Cocoknits just so I could carry these in particular. This is a pattern keeper / mobile creation station that can hold all the things you need when you knit. Tapestry needles, cable needles, a row counter, yarn snips, AND the needle gauge doubles as a straight edge to help keep track of your place in a chart. The Maker's Board comes as shown on the left, with four covered magnets and five metal magnets. Other accessories are available for purchase separately (as shown on the bottom right). When you need to pack up for the day or take your stitching on the road, just fold it up and you're good to go!

These are fantastic for trying on a sweater, holding your sleeve stitches, or holding any stitches, really. One tin comes with 2 x 30" tubes and 1 x 60" tube, with 9 colors to choose from!
