News From The Yarn Garden!

Head Gardener's Log, October 5th, 2020

"What will it look like?"

If you missed last Friday's Feature Friday video, you might want to head over to FB and check it out. I discuss how different yarn dyeing techniques affect the color of the finished fabric and I have gotten some FANTASTIC reviews from those that watched. It contains some important info for every knitter that has ever asked, "I love this, but what will it LOOK like when I knit it?". And if you did watch it and enjoyed it, please consider sharing it for others knitters to see. Watch the video by clicking on the image below or by heading to https://www.facebook.com/TheYarnGarden/live.

Feature Friday snip

Special FB Live Video, THIS Wednesday evening!

You've heard me talking recently about my Spark Cardi and how I'm so excited to steek it. Well, the time has come! My KAL group and I will be taking sharp scissors to our beautiful sweaters and CUTTING IT OPEN. I thought you all might be interested in watching such a thing, so I'll be going LIVE to do it. The live video will take place in YG's Facebook group, called Friends of The Yarn Garden. Join me there at 7:15pm on Wednesday evening to watch and offer moral support!

Steek with me!

What's On My Needles

Since I'm at a standstill with my Spark Cardi (until I STEEK IT), I have been going full steam on my pocket shawl. The pattern is now out to my testers!

I've also thrown a few rounds on here and there to my Dissent Cowl, which I plan to have finished before November 3rd. It's not technically a knitting project to have on needles, but I'm working on a new event for YG. I talked a little about the yarn-tasting-in-a-box during my video on Friday. I hope to release more details and start selling those later this week, so be on the lookout for that!

Much love to you and your family, stay safe and healthy!
