Friday, October 25th - Sunday, October 27th (retreat!)
Sign ups are fast approaching for one of YG's most popular events of the year, our Fall Knitting Retreat. We're back in Shipshewana on the weekend of October 25th for a weekend of stitching, laughing, eating, and general shenanigans with 39 other like-minded people. More details will be posted in the coming weeks, but for now, save the weekend of October 25th in your calendar, and set an alarm for Monday, April 8th at 8:00pm. Sign ups will be available at that time, at the link below (click on the image). I look forward to spending the weekend with you and 39 more of my closest stitching friends!
LYS Day 2019
The second annual LYS (Local Yarn Store) Day is fast approaching. I love any excuse for a party, so I invited my friends Katie of All Things Katydid and Janice of Adelaide Fiber Co. to join me. Click on the image below to go to the Facebook Event page. We'll be posting sneak peeks there in the approaching weeks!
We are celebrating the amazing community that has sprung around the Garden, which has been 12+ years in the making. We would LOVE it if you would join us and celebrate all things yarn-y!
Freshly Sprouted at YG
Forty two (!) divine colors of fingering weight, 100% superwash merino wool from Baah, called La Jolla. This delivery truly brought me so much happiness... these colors are truly vibrant and unique. All. The. Hearts!
Flair! Notebooks! Rulers!
Heart to Heart Greeting Cards
I am super proud to be carrying this new line of greeting cards from my young friends, Emily and Ally. They are middle school students here in Charlotte, and have formed a crafting business to create and sell their beautiful cards. These wonderfully crafted cards are perfect for many different occasions. Stay tuned for a fun card-making workshop, coming in May!
What's On My Needles
The Nightshift by Andrea Mowry. My version is using a colorway of Noro Akari and a colorway of Noro Ito to make the color changes happen. This mosaic-style project is a fun way to learn the technique!!
And this is the start of the Soldotna Crop from Caitlin Hunter. I am using Stitch Dreamy DK from Stitch Together, an indie dyer from Iowa. I adore stranded knitting, and this quick vest is no exception!
Thank you to all for reading all the way down to the bottom! I hope you enjoy these quick notes from the Head Gardener here at YG in Charlotte, MI. I look forward to seeing you in the Garden soon!
