Head Gardener's Log, June 15th, 2018
|
I am BEYOND excited to have the opportunity to host the launch of AJHC Wool's newest yarn collection, inspired by the beautiful colors found in succulents. This event will be a gallery-style open house, with the opportunity to see, touch, smell, and of course, BUY a piece of this new collection. Feel free to come in anytime between 6p and 8p to browse the collection and enjoy a special dessert by my favorite local baker, Designed By Daddy.
The initial batch of yarns dyed in this collection will be on her Basic Sock base, a fingering weight blend of 75% superwash merino/25% nylon. Each 100 gram hank contains approximately 460 yards. Start gathering some pattern ideas now!
There will be photos shared of AJ's inspiration in the Facebook event page, so be sure to mark "going" on the event page! By the way... did you know you can still view the event page, even without a FB account??

What's on my needles
A second sock (past the heel... more than halfway there!!), a hat, and my Uniform cardi. I'm tempted to cast on the Yume top by Isabell Kraemer. I even have the yarn picked out and set aside. It's a pretty, salmon-y pink shade of Zooey, the cotton/linen blend from Juniper Moon Farms. Should I start it? I could at least swatch... that doesn't count as "starting", right???
