KC1V: Knit Companion: What Can It Do? - Virtual Version

Have you heard people talking about KnitCompanion or KC? Is this a person or an App? It is both!
Karen Collins (KC) will be teaching a class on KnitCompanion, this time held virtually via Zoom.

This 2-hour, hands-on class is designed for those who want to try the free version of the popular app KnitCompanion, using either the Android or iOS platform. Join the Zoom meeting on one device (a computer or laptop works great!) and follow along as Karen demonstrates some of the capabilities. Use a second device to actually try each feature in the app!

Topics include how to:

link your Ravelry and/or Dropbox accounts and why,
set up a basic knit or crochet pattern,
use the tools available in the free version.

There will also be a preview of functions available in the upgraded version (last 5 minutes only), as well as an opportunity to ask questions!

No skills required, just a desire to learn more about how technology can help us in our crafting!

Requirements:

~One device running either Android or iOS platforms (options include iPad, Android tablets, and laptops. Phones are usable but not preferred because of size). ~A second device for watching and participating in the Zoom meeting (laptop or computer is easiest!). ~Prior to class you must log in and create an account with KnitCompanion. Please bring this login information as well as your Ravelry and/or Dropbox (we are happy to help with this before the day of the class). ~A pen if you want to take notes (a handout will be provided). ~A willingness to open your mind to a host of options that will blow your mind and save you time (and money... no paper or expensive ink to buy!) so you can spend more time knitting!

Option 1:

90-day return on yarn ONLY for store credit based on current store selling price. – minus shipping charges when applicable, and - minus a 5% credit card processing fee when applicable. (Yarn must be in original manufactures condition)

Option 2:

30-day return on yarn ONLY for a cash refund based on current store selling price – minus a 20% restock fee and – minus shipping charges when applicable. (Yarn must be in original manufactures condition) Cash returns may be in the form of cash, check, credit card, or PayPal at the owner’s discretion.

No returns

We do not accept returns on trunk shows, limited edition kits, club yarns, or non-yarn related products, such as needles, notions, bags, patterns, digital downloads, gift cards, books, shawl pins, jewelry, tools, etc., or any items sold on sale or at a discounted price.

Yarn purchased more than 90 days prior to the current date.

Yarn that is no longer in original manufactures condition

Yarn that is currently obsolete

Any Item that was special ordered

No returns are accepted without proof or record of purchase. No returns on behalf of someone else.

Any other returns are at the discretion of the owner.

Class or Special Event Fees

If Yarn Garden cancels or reschedules a class or event for any reason a cash refund or store/class credit will be issued (This will be determined on a per customer basis)

If a customer/student/participant cancels or does not show up to a class or event for any reason within 3 days leading up to the scheduled event time; No store/ class credit will be issued. If the cancellation occurs more than 3 days or more prior to the class or event; store/class credit will be issued.
