Magmatic Shawl

How many new techniques can we pack in a class? A magic ball, adding beads, a steek, and a cool fringe technique! Not to mention you end up with a beautiful scarf.

This will be a 2 part class. Session one will cover a little color theory to help pick some colors, a discussion of beads and quality, learn to make the magic ball and practice adding beads and we will go through the pattern together to set everyone up for success. 5 weeks later we will come back together to steek, learn the fringe technique and take a photo all together.

Skill Level:	Beginner
Skill Details:	To be successful in this class, students should be comfortable with basic knit/purl stitches; follows pattern instructions.
Materials Included:	Beads and a crochet hook are included in the class fee. There will be a small variety of bead colors to choose from.
Requirements:	Magmatic Shawl Pattern by Laura Nelkin (you can find it on Ravelry or ask us at YG to help) US 5, 40" circular needle (or size to achieve gauge) 450 - 550 yards of fingering weight yarn (suggested yarns: Gnomelets, Gnome's Feet or Cheerful Gnome by Gnome River Yarns; part of the first class will be picking out yarn!)

Returns are subject to a record of sale, either by the original customer providing a receipt or the original customer’s account history.

Option 1:

90-day return on yarn ONLY for store credit based on current store selling price. – minus shipping charges when applicable, and - minus a 5% credit card processing fee when applicable. (Yarn must be in original manufactures condition)

Option 2:

30-day return on yarn ONLY for a cash refund based on current store selling price – minus a 20% restock fee and – minus shipping charges when applicable. (Yarn must be in original manufactures condition) Cash returns may be in the form of cash, check, credit card, or PayPal at the owner’s discretion.

No returns

We do not accept returns on trunk shows, limited edition kits, club yarns, or non-yarn related products, such as needles, notions, bags, patterns, digital downloads, gift cards, books, shawl pins, jewelry, tools, etc., or any items sold on sale or at a discounted price.

Yarn purchased more than 90 days prior to the current date.

Yarn that is no longer in original manufactures condition

Yarn that is currently obsolete

Any Item that was special ordered

No returns are accepted without proof or record of purchase. No returns on behalf of someone else.

Any other returns are at the discretion of the owner.

Class or Special Event Fees

If Yarn Garden cancels or reschedules a class or event for any reason a cash refund or store/class credit will be issued (This will be determined on a per customer basis)

If a customer/student/participant cancels or does not show up to a class or event for any reason within 3 days leading up to the scheduled event time; No store/ class credit will be issued. If the cancellation occurs more than 3 days or more prior to the class or event; store/class credit will be issued.
