CTSB: Choose Your Own Adventure Sweater WORKSHOP!
In this engaging and hands-on workshop, you will dive deep into the principles of color, using the Strange Brew sweater pattern (find the pattern on Ravelry here) as your canvas for creative expression. Whether you're a seasoned knitter looking to elevate your craft or a beginner eager to explore the world of color through knitting, this experience offers a unique and creative journey. Join us in unraveling the secrets of knitwear color theory and craft sweaters that tell your story in vibrant, captivating hues. Color Theory Class with Karen
10:00a to 11:30a
Join Karen to begin your journey by mastering the basics of color theory, including the color wheel, primary, secondary, and tertiary colors, and their relationships. Learn about various color schemes and explore how these schemes can be applied to your knitting projects to evoke different moods and aesthetics.
Lunch
There are plenty of lunch options within walking distance of YG. You are welcome to bring a lunch as well, there is a refrigerator in the 131 Event Space.
Design Your Color Motifs
12:30p to 3:00p
After lunch, Lindsay will demonstrate various tools and resources to help you start planning the design for your sweater. We will apply the color theory discussed in the morning and go yarn shopping! After choosing our color scheme, we will draft our own color work charts using colored pencils. You will leave the workshop with your yarn and a plan for the color motifs for your Strange Brew sweater.

If participant is planning to knit the sweater, some experience in sweater knitting would be helpful. Participants should have a basic knowledge of stranded knitting, (or plan to take the Stranded Knitting class, offered on October 28th).
