CTSB: Choose Your Own Adventure Sweater WORKSHOP!

In this engaging and hands-on workshop, you will dive deep into the principles of color, using the Strange Brew sweater pattern (find the pattern on Ravelry here) as your canvas for creative expression. Whether you're a seasoned knitter looking to elevate your craft or a beginner eager to explore the world of color through knitting, this experience offers a unique and creative journey. Join us in unraveling the secrets of knitwear color theory and craft sweaters that tell your story in vibrant, captivating hues. Use this workshop as a kick off to our next KAL, where we'll all be knitting our Strange Brew sweaters together. The KAL begins on Thursday, October 19th. For more info on the KAL, click here!

Color Theory Class with Karen

Join Karen to begin your journey by mastering the basics of color theory, including the color wheel, primary, secondary, and tertiary colors, and their relationships. Learn about various color schemes and explore how these schemes can be applied to your knitting projects to evoke different moods and aesthetics.

There are plenty of lunch options within walking distance of YG. You are welcome to bring a lunch as well, there is a refrigerator in the 131 Event Space.

Design Your Color Motifs
12:30p to 3:00p
After lunch, Lindsay will demonstrate various tools and resources to help you start planning the design for your sweater. We will apply the color theory discussed in the morning and go yarn shopping! After choosing our color scheme, we will draft our own color work charts using colored pencils. You will leave the workshop with your yarn and a plan for the color motifs for your Strange Brew sweater.

If participant is planning to knit the sweater, some experience in sweater knitting would be helpful. Participants should have a basic knowledge of stranded knitting, (or plan to take the Stranded Knitting class, offered on October 28th).
Materials Included:
Colored pencils will be provided.

90-day return on yarn ONLY for store credit based on current store selling price.   – minus shipping charges when applicable, and - minus a 5% credit card processing fee when applicable. (Yarn must be in original manufactures condition)

Option 2:

30-day return on yarn ONLY for a cash refund based on current store selling price – minus a 20% restock fee and – minus shipping charges when applicable. (Yarn must be in original manufactures condition) Cash returns may be in the form of cash, check, credit card, or PayPal at the owner’s discretion.

No returns

We do not accept returns on trunk shows, limited edition kits, club yarns, or non-yarn related products, such as needles, notions, bags, patterns, digital downloads, gift cards, books, shawl pins, jewelry, tools, etc., or any items sold on sale or at a discounted price.

Yarn purchased more than 90 days prior to the current date.

Yarn that is no longer in original manufactures condition

Yarn that is currently obsolete

Any Item that was special ordered

No returns are accepted without proof or record of purchase. No returns on behalf of someone else.

Any other returns are at the discretion of the owner.

Class or Special Event Fees

If Yarn Garden cancels or reschedules a class or event for any reason a cash refund or store/class credit will be issued (This will be determined on a per customer basis)

If a customer/student/participant cancels or does not show up to a class or event for any reason within 3 days leading up to the scheduled event time; No store/ class credit will be issued. If the cancellation occurs more than 3 days or more prior to the class or event; store/class credit will be issued.
