Description: This cast on and bind off technique is a great way to add that finished touch to any 1 x 1 ribbed edge. Use it on a hat, sock, sweater edges... really, anywhere you want a professional, polished look.
Supplies
worsted weight wool or wool blend in a light color (I recommend Germantown by Kelbourne Woolens)
a bit of scrap yarn (look for something smooth in a contrasting color)
US 8 knitting needle, any type
crochet hook, close to the same size as your knitting needle
spare circular needle, US 8 or 1 size smaller
tapestry needle
locking stitch markers
